The fatigue analysis of adhesive joints in body-in-white models is a particular challenge. The reason for this is the limited model size and the application of channelbased approaches with linear superposition. This complicates the analysis of the actual stress states and the consideration of the complex time-, temperature-, and amagedependent material properties. Since downstream submodel analyses are usually too time-consuming, the current focus is on fatigue analysis in the global model. The modeling guideline and methods for analyzing adhesive layer fatigue are presented.
